Instructions: Most recruiting cost calculators only take into account the costs of sourcing applicants, but the other half of the process - selection and hiring - is usually not taken into account in sufficient detail to show the considerable expense involved in processing applicants through your selection process. Below is a calculator that focuses on a typical selection process with the usual steps, effort, and costs. Please feel free to adjust any numbers to more accurately reflect your own process.  The detail portion starting with "Typical activities to fill each opening" is intended to look at the process for filling a single job; if it is easier for you to enter numbers on a different basis, for example for yearly hiring activity, the calculator will also work on that basis, but the roll-up numbers at the bottom may be incorrect.  If you do not utilize some of these steps, just delete the numbers along that row.
